New Juice WRLD album Fighting Demons out next month
“You are not your struggles. Addiction, anxiety, depression do not define you…”
That’s the message up top of a trailer announcing Juice WRLD’s second posthumous album, Fighting Demons, arriving next month on 10 December. It follows on from last year’s Legends Never Die, which became the best-selling posthumous album in two decades and helped make Juice Australia’s most streamed artist on Spotify in 2020.
The Fighting Demons trailer features archival footage of the rapper in the studio, on the road, meeting fans, and opening up about his mental health struggles.
“Me talking about certain things can help somebody else,” he says. “If you feel like you have anxiety or depression, they’re gonna look at you like you’re crazy. That’s not how it should be, but that’s how it is, and that needs to change.” Watch below.
There’s no tracklist or further details yet on Fighting Demons, which follows more than two years after the gone-too-soon rapper, born Jarad Anthony Higgins, died from an accidental overdose at age 21.
