I am Ken Artist and I am an American that now calls Australia home. I migrated in September of 2002, having spent the vast majority of time living on the Central Coast of NSW. In that time alongside playing basketball I have held many other roles within the community. Some positions held were youth worker, basketball ref, manager of an OOSH centre, and coached the occasional sports camp.

I’ve encompassed a medley of skills from life and they are on full display in the work that I do. Often in direct care giving roles and I have learned a lot over the 15 years in the community sector, I’ve learned a lot about how to best work to get the most out of the individual. To me coaching is much more than teaching people how to get the ball in the basket, when done well it is a powerful and trusted role that you play in the teamsindividuals life. As many of us ‘ballers’ know, ball is life and what a life it is!
