Indianapolis. IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Will Campbell has been named CEO of ABA International replacing
Kevin Williams who stepped down for personal reasons. “Will has a long and distinguished background with the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman.
“He knows the league well and has terrific experience internationally.”
Will’s professional career began in 2003 with the ABA Nashville Rhythm prior to his relocation to Atlanta, where he played for both the ABA’s Georgia
Gwizzlies and the Atlanta Wildcats prior to retiring in 2016. He then entered into coaching and training AAU and served as GM for the WABA Atlanta Angels
Will most recently served as Director of Scouting for the NBL assisting players making the leap from college to play professionally internationally.
“Coming as CEO of ABA International,” added Newman, “Will is bringing his playing experience, business experience and international experience to the
table.”
“I see and understand ABA CEO Joe Newman’s vision,” commented Campbell, and working alongside the great business talents we have in the ABA, as well as the current international partners, I am ready to lead ABA International into a successful future.
